WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for the Talent Acquisition function including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and candidate experience. Reporting directly to the VP of Talent & Culture, you will collaborate with hiring managers to attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent to fuel our growth.


This role requires a keen eye for processes, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to empathetically connect and support candidates and employees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


Job Analysis & Role Definition

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and define the roles to be filled including skills, qualifications, and experience. 
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date, create and post job postings on relevant job boards, social media platforms, and the company’s career page to attract qualified candidates.

Recruiting

  • Review resumes to shortlist candidates who meet the job qualifications and organizational fit.
  • Coordinate and conduct initial interviews with candidates to assess their qualifications, experience, and cultural fit for the organization.
  • Proactively search for candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking events.

Interview Process

  • Manage interview process including scheduling manager and peer interviews, gathering feedback and providing status updates to manager and candidate.
  • Extend offers to candidates, highlighting benefits and other terms of employment.  

Candidate Experience

  • Coordinate and manage candidate experience, and keep candidates informed throughout the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, providing feedback, and extending offers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.

Support

  • Support with on-boarding processes to ensure a seamless on-boarding experience for new hires.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and overall employee experience.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide support and address needs
Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience: 3+ years related to talent acquisition or human resources required. Experience recruiting security industry professionals is preferred.

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

Knowledge:

  • Working familiarity with Security and/or Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and best practices

Skills:

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity ATS preferred
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting at all levels within an organization

Abilities:

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with proven experience communicating with candidates, team members and key stakeholders
  • Ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and balance workloads
  • Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Self-directed problem solver who takes the initiative to start projects, work unsupervised, complete tasks independently, solve roadblocks, and address issues before they become problems.
