FORSHAW is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Finance team for a hybrid role based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality financial reporting, optimize processes, and support organizational goals in alignment with FORSHAW’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Requirements
- Prepare, review, and adjust journal entries while completing routine accounting activities.
- Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current accounting policies and practices.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Provide guidance to accounting team members in completing routine tasks.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the broader finance group.
- Research technical accounting issues and communicate requirements to stakeholders.
- Assist in year-end audits and preparation of tax filings, including sales and local/federal income taxes.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to departmental goals and lead or assist with special projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Accounting degree required; CPA designation is a plus.
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
- ERP experience desired (Company utilizes Microsoft Dynamics BC).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage time wisely with attention to deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
