Requirements

Position Summary

As an International Inside Sales Representative at GLS-US, you will play a crucial role in generating new business and maintaining existing relationships. This position requires a blend of sales skills, customer service, and a solid understanding of our services and the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be energetic, persuasive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate sales leads through outbound calls and convert them into new business.

- Focus on International Shipping Vertical, finding outbound shippers from the US to INTL destinations.

- Make a minimum daily quota of calls to new leads in your assigned geography or industry vertical.

- Respond to incoming calls and emails from prospect and customers.

- Conduct new customer onboarding training on the use and features of the GLS customer portal.

- Facilitate submission of technology assistance and API integration requests to GLS Technical Support as needed.

- Facilitate the submission of new scheduled service starts and account changes to GLS Operations as needed.  

- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions that align with GLS-US services.

- Negotiate pricing and present proposals for our services to prospects and existing assigned accounts as needed.

- Prepare Delivery Service Agreements in line with approved pricing and volume commitments.

- Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.

- Handle customer inquiries, and escalated service issues, as necessary.

- Stay current with GLS service offerings, changes, and competitive landscape.

- Refer prospects and partner with the outside sales team on opportunities that are above the inside sales threshold.

- Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

- Use Salesforce CRM, to submit prospects for credit approval, new account requests, pricing cases and account changes.

- Create and maintain a prospective customer pipeline of opportunities.

- Log all customer interactions, calls and progress in Salesforce.

 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage time effectively, and work under pressure.

- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills.

- Knowledge of the logistics industry is a plus.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, with Microsoft Power BI knowledge advantageous.

- Experience working with Salesforce preferred.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Highly adaptable with a professional and motivated attitude.
