We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Account Management to lead and oversee our account management team. As the VP of Account Management, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to drive customer value that leads to expansion, renewals and customer satisfaction.

Typical Functions:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the account management team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Develop and execute effective strategies for team development, goal setting, and performance management.
- Support and empower the team to achieve their objectives and deliver outstanding results.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's account management strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize customer retention.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the account management function, streamlining processes and enhancing overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide input on business development strategies, market trends, and new product/service offerings.
Account Growth and Retention:
- Understand customers' needs, business objectives, and challenges to effectively align our solutions and services to their requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales and Marketing, to identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with Customer Success team to help maximize customer use, value, and satisfaction of our platform
- Negotiate balanced renewals and expansions that profit our business while benefiting the customer and shepherd the deal through negotiation
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven experience as a Vice President or Senior Director of Account Management, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Business acumen and proven ability to negotiate and influence for positive outcomes.
- Ideally, combined background of post-sale and sales experience
- Strong empathy for customers AND passion for revenue and growth
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving results.
- Powerful communication and interpersonal skills. Highly articulate with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CRM software and account management platforms.
