Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Automation Lead to spearhead our quality assurance efforts and ensure seamless software delivery. The ideal candidate will evaluate every layer of the application stack, establish effective testing guidelines, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. This role demands a proactive individual skilled in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and agile methodologies.  You'll spend your days on the following: 

  • Evaluate application layers, including front-end, API, backend, and database, to establish effective testing practices.
  • Design and implement a scalable, maintainable automation framework tailored to project needs.
  • Lead the creation and execution of test strategies, test plans, and testing feedback loops.
  • Select and integrate best-in-class test automation tools, including Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, and Puppeteer.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration of automated testing.
  • Drive performance and security testing initiatives.
  • Facilitate exploratory testing outside the standard SDLC to uncover critical edge cases.
  • Guide teams in adopting testing standards and building test cases during the SDLC.
  • Develop reporting systems and dashboards to monitor testing progress and highlight blockers, bottlenecks, or quality trends.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align testing strategy with organizational goals and present key insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to quality benchmarks and analyze production health metrics, such as escaped defects and root cause analysis.
  • Manage dedicated test personnel and identify areas needing auxiliary support.
  • Facilitate cross-team training sessions on testing tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor team performance on test writing and execution, providing real-time feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to maintain high standards of usability and system reliability.

 What you need to be successful in this role: 

  • Proven experience with E2E runners (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) and testing libraries (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Karma, Puppeteer).
  • Expertise in integrating test tools into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient in web, mobile, API, and database testing approaches.
  • Strong communication skills to train and mentor team members effectively.
  • Ability to create test environments, develop test harnesses, and generate test data.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing principles.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise and a passion for quality improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environments and modern testing best practices
