*This role is located in Hilo, HI and the candidate is required to work in person at our warehouse location(s)* 


The Sr. Supply Chain Manager is a key critical role for our Hilo, Hawaii Operations. Responsibilities range from leading teams across procurement, inventory management, logistics, distribution, product tracking, driver management, problem-solving, training, managing staff, and overseeing the day-to-day logistics for ground and ocean movements to the mainland.

Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Operations:

  • Oversee the receiving, warehousing, distribution, raw materials, finished goods, and e-commerce warehouses, as well as assigning warehouse maintenance and upkeep tasks to appropriate team members
  • Coordinate transportation and warehousing activities, selecting optimal shipping routes, and managing logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Oversee logistics and planning to meet production goals and metrics 
  • Oversee sales orders and execution
  • Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on operations
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency
  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that are aligned with company objectives, including cost reduction, inventory optimization, and delivery performance targets
  • Maintains inventory records according to movement and physical counts
  • Utilizes ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning in Netsuite) capabilities, answers and verifies appropriate shipment details are accurate and up to date
  • Oversee all inbound material flows to the production facility along with outbound finished goods to the mainland via our ocean providers
  • Participates and engages in all problem-solving sessions related to identifying improvement opportunities for material handling or shipping
  • Identify and clearly communicate to the Leadership Team all logistic issues related to truck shipping
  • Creates and implements strategies for business growth and efficiencies
  • Improves internal processes for better productivity
  • Monitors and manages warehouse and logistics budget
  • Selects carriers for transportation and negotiates rates and contracts with carriers
  • Responds to and resolve complaints and problems from clients
  • Collaborating with internal departments like sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment with supply chain strategies and customer needs

Personnel Management:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, fostering collaboration and performance improvement, KPIS, and goals
  • Oversees and maintains CDL A Driver compliance (trucks, trailers, maintenance, registration, fuel)

Pay Range: 

Starting pay will be determined based on the candidate's background, skill, and knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics.


Schedule:

The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm HST, and occasional weekends as needed. Days and times may vary. 

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years NetSuite or similar ERP System Experience (Sales Orders, Transfer Orders, Inventory Management, data analysis tools) Required
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred; basic knowledge of MS Excel required
  • 5+ years minimum warehouse experience at supervisory level or above required
  • 5+ years of Logistics experience with ocean and over the road type movements preferred
  • Proven track record in managing complex supply chains across different industries 
  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, opportunities for improvement and making informed decisions
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, build consensus, and drive results; strong knowledge of servant leadership model and methods 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels 

Education:

  • High school diploma/ GED Required
  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
