The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in analyzing functional and technical requirements for software development projects. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation. Additionally, you will assist in team facilitation, remove impediments, and ensure delivery of high-quality products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements for new and existing software development.
  • Develop user stories, system requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to automate or improve systems and identify gaps.
  • Create user interface designs, test documentation, user guides, release notes, and other deliverables.
  • Facilitate team discussions, status updates, and ensure resolution of production issues.
  • Serve as the liaison between project managers, developers, and clients.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to support issue resolution.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to ensure timely project delivery.
Requirements

 

  • Proven experience in developing requirements documentation (e.g., user stories, system requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria).
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, system capabilities, and scheduling limitations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and deliver timely solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence for requirements documentation.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database queries.
  • Ability to create business workflows and analyze system gaps.
  • Prior experience on a successful Scrum team.
  • Expertise in creating presentation materials and leading team sessions.

  • Location: Preference will be given to candidates residing in the DMV area.
