IT Project Manager
Description

Certified Technical Experts is looking for a qualified Senior IT Project Manager to provide Project Manager duties in correlation with the planning, design/development, integration, and other IT services needed to support our contractual obligations to our client’s efforts.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

  • Ensure the results and duration of all maintenance assistance efforts are recorded in the management system.
  • Ensure that new Information Technology (IT) products and services are aligned with the vision and guidance of the client.
  • Produce, maintain, and make available a standard set of written documentation that describe the IT Systems architecture and their respective information/data flows at the level of detail required by the Technical Monitor
  • Prepare written documents/deliverables for the client stage gate reviews and participate in the reviews to address questions about the documents.
  • Helps develop and owns project templates, project success factors/metrics, resource utilization, and project status reporting. Mentors and acts as project management resource for all IT staff.
  • Provide task management as it relates to client systems maintenance, systems development, and any additional IT projects as assigned by the client.
  • Appropriately allocate resources to address the priorities as defined by the client management team.
  • Ensure that corresponding staff adheres to all client confidentiality and IT policies and rules.
  • Provide a written activity report every month by the 5th of the following month showing tasks completed, tasks currently in progress, and upcoming tasks.
  • Research, architect, prototype, document, and assist in implementing a project governance strategy/framework
  • Lead effort in the creation of project estimating guidelines, templates, standards, project status reporting, resource utilization and project scheduling and planning
  • Manage and use effectively an enterprise project management tool for resource allocation, project management, resource planning, status/metrics reporting across the entire Information Technology Department
  • Remains current on technical trends and provides management with recommendations on new project methodologies; Advising on project budgets and costs; Act as an over-sight for project management efforts by team members
  • Provides effective leadership, mentoring, and training for all areas of responsibility and expertise
  • Document all processes, guidelines, and procedures and ensures that all documents are kept current
  • Work with management to develop new/ refine existing policies and procedures relating to project management
  • Building effective team relationships to synergistically accomplish goals
  • Helps in assessing/mitigating risk for current projects
  • Assist in project estimation and work to meet project deadlines and milestones
  • Provide activity, schedule, or costing reports on area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with all team members’ clearance and personal clearance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience; minimum 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Project Management
  • Advanced knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing, and project management
  • Advanced knowledge of the inner workings of federal business and contracting
  • Must have intermediate proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Conflict resolution skills desired
  • Business Analysis Certification (Preferred)
  • PMP Certification (Preferred)
