Position Title: Group Product Manager
Location: Northeast US
Potential Earnings: $175,000
Position Summary:
The Group Product Manager is responsible for leading the product management team to drive revenue growth, innovation and market competitiveness across all product lines. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, experience managing global product strategies, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall product management strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee the product lifecycle, ensuring consistent alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Serve as a key decision maker for prioritizing product investments and innovations.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor and develop the Product Managers.
- Establish clear performance metrics and professional development plans for the team.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to align product objectives with sales, marketing and engineering teams.
Global Coordination:
- Work closely with the global teams to align product strategies with global business objectives.
- Manage relationships with global stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of market needs.
- Drive product standardization and customization initiatives to meet diverse market demands.
Market Insight and Execution
- Act as the “Voice of the Market”, gathering insights for customer needs, competitor analysis and emerging trends.
- Oversee the development of business cases for new product launches or enhancements.
- Lead the execution of go-to-market strategies and manage product launches across regions.
Performance Monitoring
- Develop and implement KPI’s and Metrics through CRM for the management of the opportunity funnel with target accounts, provide product line revenue forecast based on project activities
- Generate quarterly performance reporting of all key metrics including revenue performance, sales funnel status, customer successes, and new customer design wins.
Travel
· Travel 25% to support new business development and customer visits.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or Marketing
- A combination of 10+ product management experience in mechatronics, drives or motion control markets, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in a global market.
- Experience in dealing with diverse global business cultures
- Financial and market research analysis skills
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
