IT Project Manager SME (KP)
Description

 CONTINGENT CONTRACT AWARD 

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for these projects and act as the SME Project Manager under the Senior Program Manager and Government project manager leads.
  • Plan project stages, define project scope and objectives and initiate, manage, and monitor progress to meet deadlines, standards, and cost targets.
  • Assess business implications for each stage of the projects, taking them from the original concept through final implementation.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, computer services, and client services at all audience levels, from the user to the Commanding General.
  • Lead, guide, and provide technical and analytical guidance while liaising between business and technical aspects of projects to the project team and technical staff.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks, track, and review vendor deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards of project deliverables.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with (IAW) the Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines and directives.
Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field required

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years of IT project management experience with master’s degree.
  • 12 years of IT project management experience with bachelor’s degree.
  • 14 years of IT project management experience in lieu of a degree (Government Waiver required)

Skills:

  • 5 years of working experience with Microsoft Project.

Required Certification:

  • Current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
