The Bayside Café is more than a coffee shop—it’s a hub for connection, joy, and ministry within our church community.
We are seeking a passionate Café Coordinator to lead the Bayside Café, ensuring it delivers outstanding service, runs smoothly, and maintains a warm and inviting atmosphere that embodies our mission. This role involves overseeing daily operations, guiding and supporting a committed team of volunteers, and cultivating meaningful experiences.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise the café volunteer team, fostering a supportive and engaging environment.
- Provide ongoing care, guidance, and encouragement to volunteers to ensure team satisfaction and retention.
Café Operations
- Manage weekly supply orders by coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery of all necessary items.
- Oversee the café budget, including tracking transactions, ordering, and processing expenses.
- Implement and enforce operational procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Maintain a high standard of quality control, ensuring customers are served efficiently, with care and kindness, aligning with the church's mission.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Event Planning & Execution
- Collaborate on creative ideas to dream, plan, and execute fun, engaging events and gatherings within the café.
- Work with the Events Director and other staff to integrate café events into larger church activities.
Customer Service
- Assist in preparing café beverages and food items as needed, ensuring excellent service delivery.
Other Duties
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Events Director.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets and coordinating with vendors is a plus.
- A heart for ministry and a commitment to serving others with excellence.
Time Commitment
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, includes weekends, holidays and evenings.
