The Role
Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Mailroom Specialist is responsible for managing the daily mail operations of the company. Key duties include collecting, sorting, and scanning mail to various departments. This role involves handling interactions with a variety of external mail sources and ensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Additional Responsibilities Include
· Sorting mail: Scanning, sorting, and distributing incoming mail.
· Packaging and sending mail: Preparing, sorting, and sending outgoing mail.
· Tracking mail: Tracking shipments and deliveries and maintaining records of mail volume, package weights, and shipping costs.
· Delivering mail: Delivering mail to staff in the building and assisting with mail/package deliveries.
· Reporting issues: Reporting any address issues
· Scanning checks: Scanning checks into the appropriate accounts via the check scanner.
· Represents Ideal Option professionally and with a positive attitude.
· Other projects and duties as assigned.

· High School Diploma or GED.
· Preferably one year or more of administrative experience.
