As the Marketing Specialist, you would support the operations of the marketing department. This position will collaborate with stakeholders to market the credit union’s products and services by developing and implementing marketing and advertising communication strategies, tracking campaign data, maintaining promotional material inventory, and planning and coordinating events and sponsorships.

Position Responsibilities
- Serve as initial point of contact for marketing requests and questions.
- Collaborate with Director of Marketing to ensure consistent branding across all marketing efforts and channels.
- Embeds diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility (DEIBA) into your daily workflow.
- Build strong and productive relationships between both internal and external stakeholders that support the credit unions initiatives and strategies.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns on time and within budget that support the credit unions strategies.
- Drive the credit union's social media channels including posts, messaging, comments, and messages, with direction from the Director of Marketing.
- Drive the credit union's email system, lobby television, and on-hold messaging system, with direction from the AVP Marketing.
- Drive the credit union's website, SEO, and Google Analytics and provide analytics and reporting with direction of the AVP Marketing.
- Writes, proofreads, and edits creative and technical content across different mediums.
- Ensure messaging and signage is properly displayed across all channels including (not limited to) the credit union's website, posters, business listings, chamber and other external websites.
- Maintain an inventory of marketing collateral and supplies to ensure branches are adequately supplied with marketing materials and promotional items.
- Operate and maintain the Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF).
- Coordinate internal and external surveys and data collections.
- Creates a positive public image for the credit union as an ambassador-at-large in the community, attending functions, networking, volunteering, and coordinating credit union community and event participation.
- Participate in new product development initiatives.
- Participate in, and at times lead, ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of other marketing efforts, promotions and service offerings (industry and non-industry) and help determine strategies to stay competitive, relevant and engaging.
- Track and communicate the performance of all marketing efforts and reviews results to maximize the value and efficiency of our marketing efforts.
- Monitor industry trends, developments, and reports and proactively offer ideas for content, promotions, social media, and other initiatives that enhance marketing efforts.
- Provide guidance and support for our business partners, agencies and designers to efficiently execute outstanding marketing campaigns and projects.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and adheres to the requirements of all federal, state, and local laws, including those of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), as it specifically relates to the job functions.
- Assumes other duties as directed by the AVP of Marketing.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.
- 3+ years marketing experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to represent the credit union professionally and positively and to interact effectively with members, staff, and management.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
- Must possess time management, organizational and analytical skills; must be able to coordinate a variety of projects and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to originate ideas in a fast-paced environment with multiple short-term deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a credit union or financial industry.
- Understanding of data analytics.
- Copywriting experience.
Position Working Conditions
- The work setting is an office environment.
- Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequently required to sit for longer periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Occasionally standing for long periods of time.
Salary Range: $29.35 - $31.50
