Are you passionate about ensuring high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement? Euroline is looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to become an integral part of our Operations team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of our steel door and window products, executing robust processes to eliminate defects and implementing quality control measures.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures tailored to customer and operational needs.
- Establish quality specifications across Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Service.
- Utilize advanced quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiment (DOE), and Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 5-Why? RCA, CAPA).
- Engage with customers in the event of disruptions and execute immediate containment measures or third-party assessments.
- Conduct inspections on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle quality issues and facilitate effective solutions.
- Continuously refine quality standards in alignment with industry regulations and customer expectations.
Desired Qualities of a Strong Candidate:
- Quality Management Expertise: Proven experience with quality management systems and methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and quality control tools; adept at interpreting data and translating findings into actionable improvements.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant industry standards.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Outstanding problem-solving abilities for identifying the root cause of issues and developing effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. **Bi-lingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus!**
- Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Sense of Urgency: Ability to prioritize tasks and act promptly on matters requiring immediate attention.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or five years of experience in a quality-focused role.
- Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) is advantageous.
Physical Demands:
- Light work environment; ability to exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally.
- Must demonstrate effective communication and auditory skills.
- Requires visual acuity for inspecting the accuracy and neatness of work.
Work Environment:
- Exposed to typical office conditions with significant computer use as well as manufacturing areas with various environmental factors.
