Description

First National Holdings, LLC makes loans secured by real estate, specializing in Texas and Nevada property tax loans and commercial loans. Hunter-Kelsey of Texas, LLC and Propel Financial Services are brands utilized under First National Holdings. Founded in 2005, Hunter-Kelsey has made and serviced over 10,000 loans. Founded in 2007, Propel has made and serviced over 55,000 loans. Combined they are one of the largest property tax lenders in Texas and the only property tax lender in Nevada.


The Document Control Specialist (DCS) works to ensure documents essential to the securitization of our loans are recorded and managed throughout the life of the loan. For new files, the work of the DCS begins after the funding process is complete. They review files post funding and verify that electronic copies are saved to the customer’s account. The DCS also has the responsibility of reviewing documents after recording by the county to ensure information was entered and processed correctly. If previous recorded documents require edits or amendments, the DCS will gather the necessary information and complete a new recording. The DCS maintains the organization of the Document Control Room; shifting files as needed, pulling paid off files, and other essential maintenance. The responsibilities in this role can vary depending on the needs of the department and/ or company. The ability to multi-task and switch gears, sometimes at a moment’s notice, is essential to be successful in this role. The accuracy and prudence of the DCS is essential to the success of the department, and the company, as approximately 60% of new loans fund in the last week of any given month. Individuals in this role thrive on the variety each day brings. They are also enthusiastic about meeting deadlines, helping achieve company sales objectives, and maintaining accuracy in all they do.


Essential Functions

  • Ensures that copies of loan documents have been saved to customer file
  • Submit tax lien documents for recording in their respective counties electronically or via USPS
  • File Promissory Notes and Power of Attorney forms per regulation guidelines
  • Update Salesforce fields to reflect recording process has been completed
  • Reviews completed recorded doc
  • Record assignment documents during the life of the loan as needed
  • Pull and destroy documents for paid in full loans
  • Maintain a spreadsheet to request recording fees
  • Process incoming department mail
  • Provide back up to document scanning and mailing, as needed
  • Assist in other areas of Loan Processing Department, as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Available to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday and potential overtime
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Comfortable viewing/researching documents on computer
  • Can communicate effectively verbally and through email
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and an aptitude for problem recognition and resolution
  • Possess an aptitude for coordinating and prioritizing multi-tasked responsibilities
  • Performs well under pressure and with short deadlines, with exceptional adaptation to a highly fluctuating work schedule
