REPORTS TO/TERM: 

Principal and Administrative Team

This is a contract position. 


ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
An Athletic Director is required to perform the following duties: 

· Works harmoniously with school leadership team to provide direction for school's sports programs. 

· Prepares and submits annual budget.  

· Allocates approved spending. 

· Coordinates with school leadership to hire coaches and assign wages. 

· Coordinates with school leadership to secure volunteers 

· Schedules team travel 

· Coordinates schedules for each sport with school leadership team 

· Purchases equipment and uniforms for each team 

· Over facility upkeep 

· Makes sure all coaches and student athletes meet state qualifications. 

· Provides?guidance and supervision for coaches and program volunteers. 

· Attends all mandatory meetings and training required by the state. 

· Attends all required staff meetings and attends designated school functions outside of school hours. 

· Establishes and enforces rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom you are responsible. 

· Accepts and incorporates feedback and coaching from administrative staff.  

· Performs other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the principal. 

Requirements

  

REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS:  

· A bachelor’s degree in content area 

· Valid Indiana Teaching License for Grades K-8 or 9-12 is preferred. 

· Demonstrated volunteer or community service.
