Pit Master
Description

We are seeking a Pit Master to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a passion for the craft of BBQ and a desire to maintain the highest food quality according to all Low And Slow Smokehouse standards as well as the ability to take ownership of the food and food quality from your location’s pit.

Responsibilities:

  • First and foremost, you need to have a passion for the service industry. Our guests are the reason we do what we do.
  • Make sure all food is prepared and cooked to quality standards.
  • Adhere to sanitary and food preparation guidelines.
  • Communicate with management any challenges that might occur to properly execute standards.
  • Perform any other work-related duties specified by management.
  • Present a professional appearance and proper language when addressing others.
  • A willingness to learn new things and ways of executing quality BBQ.
Requirements
  • Previous restaurant experience is a must.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Can be calm under pressure.
  • Effective time management skills. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Able to work with and troubleshoot smokers and hot boxes.
  • Able to work with sharp knives.
  • Must be able to handle food products and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and guests, including speaking and listening is a must.
  • The position requires continuously walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, crouching, touching, feeling, tasting, talking, hearing, wiping, and smelling.
