Machine Builder Lead
Description

 The Machine Build Lead will coordinate and perform all mechanical tasks in the sub-assembly, system level assembly, debug, teardown and install efforts of complex automated systems. The Mechanical Build Lead will monitor, train and lead employees in adherence to Calvary Standard Build Processes and Practices. The Build Lead will work cross-functionally to maintain quality, schedule and budget on all projects. The Machine Build Lead will be responsible for project milestones as it pertains to build. 

Requirements

     

- Lead project build team in schedule, budget and resourcing 

- Work   cross-functionally to maintain critical path throughout all build phases

- Contribute   to design, schedule and budget reviews prior to build kick-off 

- Communicate   effectively and frequently with project/company management 

- Assemble   mechanical components (sub-assembly and system assembly) with minimal to no supervision

- Accountable   for all project documentation as it pertains to build. E.g. Build plan, process checklists

- Read, interpret and provide feedback to engineering on blueprints and models

- Prioritize   assembly tasks for build team to maintain daily and overall schedules/milestones

- Perform   machining tasks in support of project build. E.g. Grinding, milling etc.

- Responsible   for coordinating/ordering materials post release

-Take   control, forward planning; make sure you have everything you need ahead of   time.

- Perform   rigging and shipping tasks to include planning, design and ordering

- Lead build   team through installation of projects

- Work to   daily and overall milestones to ensure project schedules and budgets are met

- Take   ownership and accountability for all efforts, individual and team

-   Participate, cross-functionally, in the planning and execution of all project   tasks

- Maintain, update and communicate all relevant documentation

- Ability and   professionalism to interact directly with internal and external customers

- Willingness   to work overtime to include weekends as needed

- Willingness   to travel (Domestic and international)

- Other   duties as assigned


     

  • 10   years of mechanical assembly experience in a lead or Sr role
  • Experience   in building automated systems
  • 5   years machining experience
  • Expertise   in blueprint reading

  

The hourly rate for this role is $32.00 -$36.00 an hour; however, Calvary Robotics considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
