P&A SUPERVISOR
The primary responsibility of a P&A Supervisor is to lead and manage decommissioning activities on location. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in offshore plug and abandonment operations and a strong commitment to safety.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
• Required: 8+ years offshore oilfield experience.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English and have good communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and safe work practices.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, volume, proportions, and discounts.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in the form of written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose equipment problems.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to perform a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for managing crew on location and at the shop for in both pre-mob and post-mob phases.
• Responsible for executing job scope in accordance with procedures.
• Must have successfully mastered all P&A Assistant & P&A Pump Operator job responsibilities/duties.
• Responsible for the safety of self and other members of the crew/work site area.
• Responsible for site inspection prior to mobilization and again upon arrival to location.
• Oversee loading and placement of equipment on the vessel and/or platform.
• Responsible for pre-shift safety meetings and JSA’s.
• Required to report all incidents, injuries, near misses and spills no matter how minor they may appear to be.
• Required to attend pre-job spud meetings.
• Required to coordinate with the crew to meet at shop prior to load out to ensure all equipment and supplies are in the ready to ship status.
• Manage equipment and supply needs to maximize utilization of transportation.
• Address MOC Management of Change to increase awareness of utilizing this tool when changes occur.
Strength and Force (minimal requirement)
This position will frequently require 10-50 lbs. of force and rarely require 50+ lbs. of force.
Physical Demands
Requirements for this position more than 2/3 of the time while on the job (but not limited to):
Standing, walking, sitting, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Work Environment
The working conditions of the area in which the P&A Supervisor shall perform his/her duties are located offshore with extensive outdoor assignments. While on the job (but not limited to): Vibration, Fumes or airborne particles, work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions (other than weather), outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock.
