Description

Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Guest Experience, oversee all marketing and branding efforts to promote the brand, venues, and events. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that elevate the Gas South District’s profile in the marketplace, increase campus attendance, and enhance customer engagement. Will lead campaigns to effectively position the venues and brand to attract diverse audiences, sponsors, and partners.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the Gas South District goals.
  • Oversee branding initiatives to ensure cohesive messaging across all digital, print, and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams to set clear marketing objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Create and execute campaigns that promote the district’s events, entertainment, and venue facilities. 
  • Work directly with marketing and sales to manage Convention Center and Theater marketing and tradeshow strategy, including, but not limited to, overseeing the preparation of all required marketing materials.
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity across all touchpoints, maintaining high standards for the Gas South District’s visual and messaging guidelines.
  • Lead efforts to enhance brand visibility and engagement in local and regional markets.
  • Monitor and analyze brand perception and adjust strategies to strengthen the brand’s position. 
  • Create and monitor performance reports, utilizing data to provide insight and optimization recommendations. 
  • Develop and leverage partnerships with customers, clients, industry influencers and industry associations to promote and enhance the Gas Sout District brand.
  • Provide branding-related content for social media, websites, and blogs.
  • Create and implement grassroots initiatives for branding efforts.
  • Write or review press releases, public service announcements, and weekly calendars concerning venue activities and special events.
  • Coordinate and execute media events and interviews for branding and special events.
  • Research and follow current industry marketing trends, possible events, venue marketing efforts, and implement best practices in the day-to-day activation.
  • Assist in designing and developing sales and marketing materials such as posters, flyers, publication articles, collateral, industry advertising, venue signage, and digital board graphics. 
  • Assist in creating, managing, and activating venue branding, marketing, and communication initiatives, including, but not limited to, departmental budgeting, annual marketing plan creation, community relations programming, and internal/external venue publicity efforts.
  • Supports the Director through leading and developing the marketing team.
  • Daily monitoring of local and national news related to Gas South District.
  • Maintain brand consistency, excellent communication, and guest awareness.
  • Support the coordination of speaking points for various department heads and events.
  • Assist with creating presentation materials for department heads. 
  • All other duties/responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in advertising, marketing, and communications principles, practices, and terminology.
  • Strong understanding of managing branding initiatives and building cohesive marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
  • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules and produce accurate results.
  • Work as a team member as well as independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees, clients, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, public relations, mass communications, journalism, or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience in a marketing or communications capacity, preferably in a special events facility or related environment. At least five years of experience or a combination of education and work experience. Marketing agency experience is a plus but not required.
