Description

We are seeking a Graduate Assistant to manage the operations of our coffee shop, serving Greenville University students and the Greenville public. The ideal candidate will be responsible for staffing, inventory, and service decisions to provide high-quality products and services while achieving budget performance.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Manage the daily operations of the  Campus Store and Coffee Shop, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for staff and customers.
  2. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  3. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  4. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
  5. Manage inventory levels and ordering of merchandise and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  6. Train and supervise Greenville University student staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  7. Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  8. Assist in budget planning and management to achieve financial goals.
Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field.

• Experience in food service management, preferably in a coffee shop or restaurant setting.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
