Description
We are interviewing for an experienced OMB A-123 Auditor with DoD experience and proven results delivering against a variety of client requirements, working hand-in-hand with government counterparts.
Position Description
- Execute day-to-day activities in business process reengineering, financials statement analysis, and process documentation.
- Review and analyze internal and external financial management reports.
- Compile financial statements and notes using Federal Government accounting policies and procedures, specifically in the areas of OMB A-123 and quarterly audits.
- Assist management in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting principles, standards, and requirements, and OMB A-123 DoD control standards, and reviews.
- Assist management in ensuring compliance with policies and requirements as may be prescribed by the DoD Comptroller, and Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
- Provide for the development and reporting of cost information.
- Provide for the systematic measurement of performance data.
- Execute executive-level program and project analysis to ensure timely and accurate programming and budgeting.
- Assist in the preparation of briefings, memorandums, and presentations that communicate the findings of internal OMB A-123 audits.
Description of Requirements, Skills, & Certifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study required; an advanced degree highly desired.
- 5+ years of experience providing accounting, financial audits or advisory services to the federal government highly desired.
- 3+ years of DoD Experience required.
- Experience with internal controls compliance and OMB A-123 audits, including documenting and testing financial processes highly desired.
- Experience with Government Purchase Card (GPC) and GSA Leased Vehicles highly desired.
- Experience with financial analysis in a DoD environment.
- Experience with DoD accounting processes.
- Experience with data extraction and analysis of various financial databases.
- Experience with financial tracking.
- Experience with industry-standard financial tools and systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to establish a rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret policy, regulations, and directives.
- Ability to perform analysis and research relative to specific tasks.
Salary Description
$85,000 - $125,000
