ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Audience Growth Strategist at Food52 will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to expand and engage our audience across digital platforms. You will work collaboratively across teams to identify growth opportunities, optimize audience acquisition campaigns, and ensure that Food52 continues to attract and retain a loyal community of food and home enthusiasts. This role combines strategic thinking, performance analysis, and creative problem-solving to drive sustainable growth for our brand. We rely on developing great content to attract diverse audiences and drive over 40 million visits a year. You will help us grow that significantly by targeting the right growth segments and developing specific strategies to support content generation and distribution. This is an exciting, foundational role on the Growth team that will support one of our key company initiatives and is a highly visible opportunity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to grow Food52’s audience across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Identify audience and content trends, pay close attention to where audiences spend time and what content they consume to inform our strategy to attract incremental audiences and promote stickiness. 
  • Collaborate with the Content, Marketing, and Social Media teams to optimize campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing engagement and reach.
  • Analyze audience behaviors and trends to identify opportunities for acquisition and retention.
  • Partner with performance marketing teams to create and test audience segmentation strategies that enhance targeting and campaign effectiveness.
  • Utilize SEO, email marketing, and social media strategies to drive organic growth and improve overall discoverability.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor audience growth metrics, sharing insights and recommendations with key stakeholders.
  • Research and explore emerging platforms and technologies to identify new channels for audience development.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure messaging and visuals align with audience expectations and campaign goals.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to benchmark Food52’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as an advocate for audience insights, contributing to cross-departmental planning and decision-making.
  • Support partnerships and influencer collaborations to enhance audience acquisition efforts.
  • Manage audience data tools and platforms to track growth and engagement metrics effectively.

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Increased audience size across digital platforms, including social media, email subscribers, and website visitors.
  • Enhanced engagement rates, such as time spent on site, click-through rates, and interactions with content.
  • Achievement of growth KPIs, including cost-per-acquisition (CPA), conversion rates, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Successful implementation of new strategies to expand Food52’s presence on emerging platforms.
  • Clear and actionable reporting that drives continuous improvement in audience growth initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience in audience growth, digital marketing, or a similar role, ideally within the media or e-commerce industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform strategies and measure success.
  • Familiarity with growth tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, social media analytics, and email marketing platforms.
  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams to align on growth goals and strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and strategies to stakeholders.
  • A passion for food, home, and lifestyle content is a plus.

COMPENSATION 

For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation for this role is $110,000 - $130,000.  Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.). 

This is an exempt role.

The target pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $130,000. 

This role is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program.
