Position Summary:
The Service Manager is responsible for providing an efficient operation of our service center repair shop. This role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating workflows, maintaining service standards, working with customers, and reviewing service-related invoices/bills. The Service Manager ensures smooth day-to-day operations, implements best practices, and strives to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Contribute to developing and maintaining a safe working environment.

· On all occasions communicate with team members, customers and vendors in a positive and collaborative manner.

· Ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are performed correctly, timely and safely.
· Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all truck and trailer components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension, electrical systems, and tires.
· Assist with Treeline’s pickup Fleet service schedules and ensure that preventive maintenance is performed regularly to minimize downtime.
· Communicate effectively and timely with customers to discuss their needs, provide estimates, discuss timelines, and explain required repairs or services.
· Schedule service work accordingly and cause each service work order to be started when the job is booked.
· Ensure work order accuracy when the job is completed and timely invoicing.
· Work together with Treeline’s other Shop Foreman’s as needed.
· Communicate with parts manager and parts clerk for parts needs and issues.
· Assist with analyzing service costs and sales to improve service department profitability.
· Assist in the cost effective and timely purchasing of parts and supplies.
· Assist with managing service-related inventory, new and used.
· Assist with service-related Accounts Receivable control.
· Assist with training new and existing technicians.
· Continue to improve the safety and security of the TSC facility and team.
· Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve team skills and job performance.
· Understand and support Service Center operations, policies and procedures.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
· Minimum: High School Diploma with five years of work experience.
· Previous service or parts management experience preferred.
· Desirable: CPR/First Aid card.
· Desirable: Five years industry experience as mechanic, including supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong knowledge of truck and trailer repair and maintenance, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
· Possess excellent positive communication skills through telephone, email, and in-person visits.
· Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers.
· Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
· Strong time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to change plans on the go.
· Possess computer keyboard skills and or ability to learn through training.
