Parts Counter Sales Representative
Description

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.


The right candidate will play a key role in supporting our customers, growing sales, and helping drive the success of the branch through strong product knowledge and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow customer relationships by providing exceptional service and support. 
  • Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers on products, features, benefits, and solutions. 
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and promotional items. 
  • Accurately process customer transactions including quotes, orders, returns, and invoicing. 
  • Work closely with outside sales representatives and branch teammates to support customer needs and grow accounts. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Locate, source, and obtain parts for customers, including processing buyouts for non-stocked items. 
  • Coordinate parts orders and communicate with warehouse, delivery, and management teams to ensure timely service. 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers to strengthen relationships and resolve concerns quickly. 
  • Assist walk-in customers with order questions, quotes, and product recommendations. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional counter and parts area. 
  • Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and customer needs. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. 

Job Requirements

  • Previous parts counter, automotive aftermarket, heavy-duty parts, or related sales experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work cooperatively with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams. 
  • Ability to provide accurate quotes, process orders, and manage customer requests efficiently. 
  • Manufacturer or industry training is a plus. 
  • Some travel may be required. 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer work. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Fast-paced environment with regular interaction with customers, drivers, warehouse staff, and vendors.
