1st Shift Assembly Lead- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Directs workers engaged in inspecting and assembling kits by performing the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

• Systematically adjusts any needed changes to operator kits. Including but not limited to scrap pay,

training pay, AI, etc.

• Actively walks the assembly floor to ensure all assembly operators are complying with SPI standards,

process, and company guide. Corrects any operator who is not complying.

• Tracks quality development for operators. Presents rework(s) to operators and ensures proper

procedures are being followed for rework(s).

• Identifies issues, problems, and solutions in areas of safety, quality, and production.

• Conducts operator training(s) based on SPI’s. Maintains a high level of involvement with quality criteria,

technique implementation, and employee development.

• Oversees the day-to-day functions of their assigned department by providing guidance and direction.

• Monitors incoming expedites daily.

• Responds to emails promptly.

• Reviews SPI’s to ensure procedures are up to date and clear to understand.

• Communicates any quality issues or concerns to Assembly Supervisor, Assembly Manager, and

Quality Department.

• Adjusts work assignments if needed to complete expedited or same-day requests or any other

schedule changes.

• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of

products.

• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. Involvement in

fixture testing for approval.

• Performs lead training for new leads and lead subs.

• Weekly timecard preparation for payroll processing.

• Supervises and edits time entries for direct reports in the Paylocity system.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related

experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and on the job experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both spoken and written form.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Results oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to changes.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
