Voice Instructor
Description

The Niles Park District is seeking a passionate and experienced Voice Teacher to provide individual and group voice lessons for children and adults of all skill levels. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their vocal skills, musicality, and confidence, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.   Hours are flexible, based on lesson schedules and availability. Some evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate student needs.   This is a part-time year-round position.   Pay range is $23-$27/hour, no benefits.


  • Provide private and group voice lessons tailored to students’ ages, experience levels, and musical interests.
  • Teach proper vocal techniques, including breath control, tone production, pitch, and diction.
  • Develop lesson plans and curriculum to meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
  • Introduce students to a variety of vocal styles, including classical, musical theater, contemporary, and more.
  • Prepare students for performances, auditions, and recitals as needed.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that builds students’ confidence and enthusiasm for music.
  • Offer constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their vocal abilities.
  • Maintain communication with students and parents regarding progress and goals.
  • Stay up to date with current vocal training techniques and trends in music education.
Requirements
  • Strong vocal performance skills and expertise in a variety of musical styles.
  • Prior experience teaching voice lessons to children and adults.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and talent levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for inspiring students through music.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or Music Education preferred (or equivalent experience).
Salary Description
$23-27/hour
