  • We’re a newly opened facility in Wayne, PA, located in a state-of-the-art 6,000-square-foot space, just minutes from Metropolitan Veterinary Associates (MVA) and key highways (Rt. 476, Rt. 76, Rt. 30, and the PA Turnpike).

What You’ll Do 

As a Veterinary Urgent Care Technician at MVUCS, you’ll be a crucial member of our care team, ensuring pets receive timely attention and top-notch treatment. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent needs, working closely with veterinarians to prioritize treatments. 
  • Provide hands-on nursing care, including administering medications, placing IV catheters, and monitoring patient vitals. 
  • Perform diagnostics such as blood draws, in-house lab tests, and basic imaging to aid in quick, accurate treatment decisions. 
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners, updating them on their pet’s condition, next steps, and home-care instructions. 
  • Maintain a well-stocked, organized work area, ensuring essential supplies and equipment are readily available. 
  • Collaborate with the entire veterinary team, contributing ideas to enhance efficiency, patient comfort, and client satisfaction.

Anticipated Schedule 

This is a full-time position with the following available schedules: 

  • Thursday – Saturday: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM 
  • Sunday – Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM  
  • Please note that some holidays are required. 

Compensation 

  • Starting at $25.00/hour, which includes a Shift differential 
  • Sign on bonus of $5,000

Requirements

  • Experience in a veterinary setting (general practice, urgent care, or emergency preferred) 
  • Strong clinical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and basic diagnostics

  • A calm, organized demeanor, essential for navigating a busy urgent care environment
