Description

National Presto Industries, Inc. is looking for a skilled ERP Systems Analyst to join our team!  We are looking for someone with a passion for helping others, and has a knack for problem solving. The ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, support, and optimization of the company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System). This role ensures the ERP system meets business needs, aligns with organizational goals, and operates efficiently. The Analyst will work closely with end-users to troubleshoot issues, analyze and test proposed changes to system processing, create and maintain reporting functions, and support ongoing ERP initiatives. This position will work at the Eau Claire, WI headquarters and is not a remote position. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Associates degree in Management Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems.
  • Basic understanding of SQL or other query languages for data extraction and analysis.
  • Knowledge of business processes, particularly in manufacturing, supply chain, and finance.
  • Proficient in standard office software (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Experience with AS400/iSeries systems, including RPG, CL, and DB2/400 databases.
  • AS400 Query, Kisco WebReports, Fortra Robot Schedule
  • Cleverpath Report Builder, Excel Macro VBA and Access Programming.
  • Familiarity with EDI systems and processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the ERP and WMS.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand and document business requirements.
  • Design, test, and deploy system changes, integrations, and reports to support business processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and processes.
  • Maintain Stratum ClearView and InfoReports for reporting and information gathering by users.
  • Set-up reorganization procedures on the AS/400 and analyze AS/400 file sizes.
  • Perform month-end processing (one Sunday every other month.)  
  • Coordinate and process year-end accounting functions, physical inventory, and file updates.
  • Ensure ERP system compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a backup for Systems Operations (tape backups and line printers) when required.
  • Analyze/update RPG Programs to enhance ERP and WMS.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed indoors at the corporate headquarters in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, or temperature changes.  This is not a remote work position. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work on computer monitor for extended periods of time.

NORMAL WORK HOURS:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.
