The PETA Foundation is seeking a dynamic and motivated Community Fundraising Manager to help develop and execute the next viral fundraising campaign. In this role, you will drive PETA’s peer-to-peer brands and virtual silent auction. This position is perfect for an experienced community fundraiser, well-organized project manager who can channel the power of community and mobilize donors to spark change.
Position Objective:
Manage and grow community support a variety of community-based fundraising programs
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist in the development and implementation of a community fundraising strategy
• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA:
o Create comprehensive community/ peer-to-peer fundraising plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives
o Manage and develop peer-to-peer fundraising brands (including Fundraise for Animals, True Friends Memorials, PETA Pack, Yard Sale Benefiting Animals.)
o Oversee ‘Jump Into Auction For Animals’ annual virtual silent auction
o Manage all aspects of online individual fundraising campaigns on social platforms such as Meta/Facebook, Instagram etc. Provide guidance and support to participants that sign up for these fundraising campaigns.
o Design and conceptualize viral and micro fundraising campaigns to ensure growth, maximum penetration of core market areas, and opportunities for expansion
o Create personalized donor engagement and acknowledgment strategies
o Ensure that all annual monetary and acquisition goals are achieved or exceeded
o Evaluate and audit P2P programs, identify strengths and growth opportunities, and report on progress, testing strategies, and program development
o Develop and deploy creative marketing content to promote fundraising initiatives, increase community engagement, drive donor participation, and maximize reach and impact
o Develop ad campaigns, test innovative ad strategies, and oversee the placement of ads for peer-to-peer fundraising
o Manage all aspects of personal-event fundraising, including revenue and expense budgets, volunteer development, volunteer engagement, and event-day logistics
o Develop and use crowdfunding platforms to create fundraising campaigns.
• Represent employer at workplace giving and other community events
• Perform any additional duties requested by the supervisor
• Degree in a related field, nonprofit development, or equivalent experience managing community-based fundraising programs
• Proven experience in recruiting, mobilizing, and managing volunteers to achieve goals
• Minimum of two years of nonprofit experience
• Knowledge of peer-to-peer and auction software platforms
• Proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram
• Proven excellent project management, strategic thinking, research, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience with online and social media communication
• Competency when handling diversified assignments
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Proven exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues

The salary range for this position is $49,782.52 - $69,360.52 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
