Production Planner
Description

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for managing and creating the production schedule for our fabrication shop. You will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will generate and provide reports to help identify utilization rates, production forecast and production optimization. This role requires strong organizational skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely completion of all fabrication projects.
  • Coordinate with the production team to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address any delays or issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality control teams to ensure that all products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize production processes.
  • Analyze utilization data and generate reports for management on current and future utilization rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and other departments on the delivery of materials to ensure accurate scheduling.
  • Generate reports for management that provide a monthly forecast for present and future months based on scheduled projects.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Production Planner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills.


Salary Description
$36 - $43/hour, $75,000 - $90,000 annually
