P&A Combo Operator
The basic function of a P&A Combo Operator is, under general supervision, responsible for the quality of the service delivered at the wellsite in terms of safety and quality of operations, ensuring everything is up to standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
• Required: 5+ years of offshore oilfield related experience.
• Ability to obtain Blasters License.
• Successfully mastered all duties of an Electric Line Operator with a minimum of 6+ months experience.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English and have good communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and safe work practices.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in the form of written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose equipment problems.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for assisting crew members during plug & abandonment operations.
• Ability to open SSSV and understand the entire operation of a valve.
• Demonstrate the basic skills of running gauges, impression blocks, hydrostatic bailers, and pump bailers.
• Can identify various plugs and running tools.
• Can rebuild all slick-line tools as per Company quality maintenance check list.
• Demonstrate the skills of pulling and setting plugs.
• Can identify the placement of each section of a rise setup from the tree connection to the grease head.
• Understands basic collar locator functions and CCL meter readings.
• Can rebuild collar rings and identify a short or open line.
• Can re-head line for different depths and be within 1-2 strands correct.
• Can identify different types of subs.
• Understands which detonator goes with the various explosive devices.
• Maintains explosive inventory on job site.
• Will train in Maintenance: grease operations; rebuild subs; collector rings; equipment and crew box loadouts.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect fault operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations/policies.
• Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
• Responsible for making certain decisions on well conditions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

• Follows instructions from the Supervisor in charge of the job.
• Knowledge of working as an Electric Line-Slick Line Operator
• Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and material properly.

Physical Demands
• Requirements for this position more than 2/3 of the time while on the job (but not limited to):
– Standing, walking, sitting, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Lifting and exerting force shall be required up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to safely transfer via swing rope to and from platform to motor vessel (boat).
• Ability to safely transfer via personnel basket to and from platform to motor vessel (boat).
Work Environment
The working conditions of the area in which the P&A Combo Operator shall perform his/her duties are located offshore with extensive outdoor assignments. While on the job (but not limited to): Vibration, Fumes or airborne particles, work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions (other than weather), outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat (non-weather), and risk of electrical shock.
