POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Assistant will further the mission of Roundup River Ranch by acquiring, organizing, and utilizing photography, videography, and camper/volunteer testimonials and interviews during the 2025 Summer Camp season. The Marketing Assistant will capture the magic and spirit of each camp session and will support the dissemination of such information with internal and external parties. The Marketing Assistant will work 20-40 hours per week that support scheduled camp activities from mid-May through mid-August.
Please note, that you must be 16 years of age or older by your training start date to be eligible for this position. This could be a residential or non-residential position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Capture the joy of camp through photos, videos, magical moments, interviews, stories, and testimonials at Camp Programs and Special Events.
- Assist the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Fellow in photography needs for specific branded marketing/advertising photos (magazines, newspaper, website, brochures, impact report).
- Work alongside volunteer photographers and support the Marketing Coordinator to ensure photos are organized during each Summer Camp session.
- Create the camper slideshows at the end of each Summer Camp session.
- Assist with daily camp photography: Capture high-quality photos throughout summer camp to document memorable moments, ensuring a variety of shots that reflect the camp experience. Organize, label, and upload photos daily to the digital photo library for easy access and use in marketing materials.
- Interview campers, volunteers, and summer staff as identified and transcribe interviews to create content (stories, quotes, camp activities).
- Systematically organize all media captured in accordance with established systems and procedures.
- Compile information for camp session summaries that will be disseminated to key stakeholders throughout the summer.
- Collaborate with Summer Staff specialists to photograph/ capture significant programming daily.
- Receive camper artwork which will be used for a variety of Development and Marketing purposes.
- In collaboration with other members of the team, ensure that media release restrictions are honored and adhered to.
- Support fellow marketing team members as a resource and scribe in real time as story opportunities arise and happen.
- Download MarComm team daily on top stories/ magic moments.
- Support marketing and development on special events with photography or branded material.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be detail orientated
- Ability to work on a Team
- Must have the ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, stoop and stand
- Ability to interact and work with campers and adults for content and photos.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability and interest in learning new things
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience in photography and capturing high-quality images is a plus.
