Business Development Manager
Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team at Arthrex TriCoast. This role focuses on managing and maintaining contracts with hospitals and surgery centers. The ideal candidate will have strong contract negotiation skills, a solid understanding of the medical device industry, and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.


As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of client contracts, from negotiation and execution to post-signature management and renewals. You will work closely with clients to ensure that all terms are being met and that the partnership continues to deliver value to both parties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation & Execution: Lead and manage the negotiation process for new and existing contracts with hospitals and surgery centers. Ensure that all terms are aligned with both client needs and company goals, while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the ongoing management of contracts, ensuring all obligations are met by both parties. Track key deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure client satisfaction and contract compliance.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders, including procurement managers, hospital administrators, and clinical staff. Serve as the primary point of contact for any contract-related inquiries or issues.
  • Contract Renewals & Amendments: Monitor contract expiration dates and work proactively to initiate contract renewals, amendments, or extensions. Collaborate with clients to make adjustments as needed based on evolving needs or product offerings.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of contract negotiations, modifications, and renewals. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all contract-related activities. Provide regular reports to senior management on contract performance and client satisfaction.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all contracts adhere to relevant healthcare regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks or areas of concern related to contract performance or compliance.
  • Customer Support & Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve any issues related to contracts or service delivery. Work to resolve disputes, clarify contract terms, and ensure that clients' expectations are being met.
Requirements
  • Contract Management Experience: Proven experience in managing, negotiating, and executing contracts, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry. Experience working with hospital and surgery center contracts is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to reviewing contracts, tracking deliverables, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent contract negotiation skills, with the ability to balance the needs of the client and the organization while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the medical device industry, including product offerings, regulatory requirements, and the operational needs of healthcare providers such as hospitals and surgery centers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex contract terms clearly to stakeholders and facilitate effective discussions.
  • Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage issues that arise during the contract lifecycle, and work toward mutually beneficial solutions that support long-term relationships.
  • Self-Motivated & Organized: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously. Capable of working independently and taking initiative.
  • Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field is required.
