The Boys & Girls Club of Gila Valley seeks a dedicated Facilities Maintenance and Custodial Specialist to join our team. This full-time position reports to the VP of Facilities in Tucson and requires 8 hours of work daily. The ideal candidate will maintain our facilities' cleanliness, safety, and functionality while ensuring a welcoming environment for club members and staff.
Maintenance Duties:
- Oversee daily building maintenance and operation of grounds and buildings, including all mechanical systems.
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
- Maintain control of work request orders, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution
- Receive work orders and determine necessary parts, equipment, and services for maintenance and repair work
- Work with the Director of Facilities to solicit bids for and evaluate outside contractors
- Perform duties as assigned during fire and safety drills
Custodial Duties:
- Clean and maintain the structure, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, and office tools
- Stock and clean restrooms and stores
- Remove debris from sidewalks
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Ensure all doors are locked after work hours
- Collect and properly dispose of garbage
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses
- Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain good communication with administration, faculty, and staff
- Work within established budget constraints
- Set up and clean up for special events, functions, and meetings as needed
Safety and Compliance:
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including federal and state regulations, industry-standard best practices, and established policies.
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school certificate or a GED.
Minimum of 4 yrs. experience in Maintenance/Custodial work-related field
AZ Driver's License Required; Must be 21 yrs of age and able to complete a 3 yr MVR review by Human Resources
Must comply to Fingerprinting process
