Position Summary: The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for assisting the Field Sales organization in assigned regions by meeting the needs of current and future Lenze customers.  This person will be responsible for helping identify potential customers, operational ownership of select key accounts, maintaining customer relationships and achieving sales targets.


Position Title: Inside Sales Engineer 

Location: Local to Westlake Village, CA

Potential Earnings: $85k to $90k dependent on experience and location


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with field sales, repair, and other internal groups to service customers; address customer inquiries and provide information on pricing, availability and features.
  • Provide guidance to the Sales team and be the main point of contact to questions and concerns
  • Prepare quotes using various resources (BOM’s, Visio diagrams, etc.)
  • Facilitate internal pricing support in CRM
  • Maintain customer data in CRM 
  • Update vendor metrics and forecasts
  • Maintain data on price deviations
  • Coordinate safety stock levels with Operations and customers
  • Provide updates to appropriate internal teams in preparation for customer meetings
  • Participate in planning/sales sessions with the global focus group leads to discuss the sales funnel, issues and North America needs.
  • Serve as a main point of contact with client during the execution of projects and programs. Prepare project progress reports and routinely communicates with clients on the status of projects.

  3. Bill of Material preparation
  4. Repair documentation
  5. Return documentation
  6. CRM data entry for responsible accounts
  7. Vendor scorecard and forecast
  8. Maintain price deviation
  9. Forecast and safety stock levels
  10. Spare parts quotation
  11. Customer call preparation
Requirements

Qualifications Include:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: CRM Tools, SAP
  • At least 3 years of Industrial Automation sales experience
  • Successful customer interface both on the phone and in person
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
