 About the Position  

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Setup Technician responsible for setting up, starting, and troubleshooting plastic injection molding jobs. This role ensures molds are properly maintained, quality standards are met, and production schedules are followed. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience with plastic injection molding equipment.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

• Set up and start production and sampling jobs.
• Perform mold cleaning, lubrication, and simple core changes.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and assist with maintenance as needed.
• Monitor schedules in IQMS and prepare presses for changeovers.
• Ensure molds, presses, and surrounding areas are cleaned and documented appropriately.
• Operate complex molding jobs and verify work meets quality standards.
• Follow Quality System documentation, including the Quality Manual and Work Instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge: 

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up injection molding machines and equipment.
• Familiarity with plastic injection molding equipment, such as presses, grinders, loaders, and dryers.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and pressures.
• General knowledge of manufacturing and office procedures.
