Overview: We are currently in search of a collaborative and proactive individual to join our Energy team in the role of Energy Permit Coordinator. This position entails coordinating and facilitating Energy Rating Documents within the residential construction sector.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with energy team members on processes and deliverables.
  • Researching and identifying the required permits and licenses for a project/municipality 
  • Preparing and submitting energy rating documents for permit applications
  • Routing Energy documents to the appropriate review departments and divisions 
  • Communicate modeling data point to the appropriate departments for Inspections 
  • Collecting and organizing all review information for cross departmental support
  • Facilitating communication between intra Energy Departments to ensure a smooth project execution 
  • Preparing reports that summarize requirements and regulations 
  • Working with a design team to ensure projects stay on track 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Assemble all necessary documents required for permitting, including site plans, engineering documents, NOC, NTO, private inspector, and other relevant materials.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and comply with local regulations.
  • Work closely with Energy Modelers to ensure that plan analysis are obtained in a timely manner to avoid project delays

Reports to: Energy Modeling Manager

Requirements

Education, Experience and Desired Qualifications:

  • HERS Rater Certification, training to be provided.
  • 1-2 Years of Construction Knowledge (preferred)
  • 1-2 Years of General Office Experience.
  • Experienced in communicating effectively with a variety of audiences, including customers, clients, and colleagues. 
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment (internal and external clients!).
  • A self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions based on independent judgment.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Work Environment: Office


Physical Demands: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full Time 40 hours per week (8 Hours/Day) 

Office Hours 6am-6pm M-F

Salary Description
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
