Position Summary
The Camp Custodian is responsible for providing custodial care to facilities and sites at Camp Silver Brook. This is a May 2025 to August 2025 seasonal position located in West Bend, WI. What You’ll Do
- Be responsible for maintaining the health and safety of campers, volunteers and staff through daily custodial tasks and monitoring conditions for safety concerns.
- Perform janitorial services such as cleaning and sanitizing of camp facilities including buildings, outdoor restrooms and activity areas. Cleaning duties include emptying garbage/recycling, sweeping and mopping floors, bathroom upkeep, and other cleaning duties.
- Assist the site manager with maintenance tasks including clearing trails, spreading woodchips, assembling shade canopies, moving firewood and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain organized and clean equipment and supplies. Report needed repairs.
- Assist in the closing each week of camp, including a thorough cleaning of all facilities.
- Actively contribute to a more equitable and inclusive organization.

Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- Willing to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout Program and enroll as a Girl Scout member which includes paying a nominal membership fee annually.
- Excellent time management skills; ability to take initiative to solve problems and work with a minimum of supervision and function well as a member of a team.
- Accurate, organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and shift priorities in response to changing needs.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including daytime and/or some evening and weekend hours.
- Commitment to creating and maintaining a positive, fun, and professional environment.?
- Customer-service oriented with the ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with a wide range of people.
- Have daily access to dependable transportation.
- Display stamina and an ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Physical demands and work environment regularly requires you to walk, hike, and work outdoors in wooded areas and on uneven natural paths.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
