The Young Adult Shelter (YAS) provides a haven for young adults aged 18-24, open 365 days a year. We offer essential life-changing programs, including medical care, meals, and critical resources to support our community’s most vulnerable young people. We’re dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects the variety of backgrounds and experiences of those we serve. We are hiring Part-Time, Shelter Support Staff working the 5pm to 9pm shift

Key Responsibilities:
· Engage with young adults with respect and empathy, understanding their unique circumstances.
· Manage reception duties, including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
· Conduct intake assessments and document essential client information.
· Support the distribution of hygiene products and other necessities.
· Assist in meal preparation and maintain cleanliness within the shelter.
· Enforce shelter rules while providing a safe and supportive environment.
· Participate in team meetings and training to enhance your skills
Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) licensing within 30 days of hire.
· Food Handler’s Permit and CPR/First Aid certification (to be obtained within six months).
· Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Experience:
· Previous work with high-risk youth or young adults.
· Skills in time management and working independently in a dynamic environment.
