Under the direction of the Director of Life Enrichment, the Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for providing a spiritual presence that offers compassion and hope to residents, family members, visitors, team members, and volunteers from an interfaith and inclusive perspective. The Spiritual Care Coordinator is expected to contribute to a meaningful experience and increase morale, anticipating intervention and results, especially in times of crisis, loss, and other related traumatic events. The Spiritual Care Coordinator will appropriately respond to emergency calls from nursing and families, as well as provide resources for education, support, and training for departments regarding spiritual care needs. The Spiritual Care Coordinator will articulate and demonstrate continuous quality care and improvement through the promotion and development of community spiritual related events and services.

A bachelor’s degree in theology, divinity, religious studies, pastoral counseling, or social work required. Previous experience providing spiritual care in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care settings preferred. Experience working with older adults, including those in memory care or hospice, and candidates who have completed at least one unit of CPE will be highly valued.
