Description


JOB DESCRIPTION

· Coordinate the activities of on-site and remote engineering teams in the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of products. 

· Ensure that projects follow and document internal design processes.

· Ensure that released designs have appropriate documentation.

· Manage a cohesive development team to meet aggressive project timelines.

· Provide ongoing career mentoring and guidance to team members.

· Coordinate and participate in design reviews.

· Manage team workload between new product development and sustaining work deliverables.

· Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Project and Product Management to define requirements for new products.

· Estimate cost and schedule to develop new or modify existing products.

· This position reports to the Director of Design Engineering.

Requirements

  

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 10 years of technical experience, preferably engineering.

· Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.

· Experience with products that includes power supplies, digital logic circuits, microcontrollers, FPGA’s, RF and analog circuits.

· Experience with products that require EMI/EMC, FCC, thermal, surge, and other environmental qualifications.

· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, working with other engineers and managers.

· Submit accurate and timely reports documenting activities to customers and management.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production documents, drawings, and related industry materials.
