Description

Position Summary

The Marketing Associate is the key creative force behind Southwest Christian School’s brand. This role blends videography, photography, graphic design, and marketing strategy to craft compelling content that inspires engagement from current and prospective families, donors, alumni, and the broader community. As a steward of the SCS brand, the Marketing Associate helps ensure consistency across all platforms while showcasing the mission, elevating awareness, and deepening connections.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos and photos that align with branding and storytelling goals for use across various channels and campaigns
  • Design engaging graphics for various internal and external needs, including, but not limited to, marketing materials, social media, email, and print collateral
  • Build and maintain a content library of high-quality photo and video assets
  • Oversee school website management, updating content as necessary
  • Proofread and review written communications and newsletters
  • Manage and update digital signage across campuses to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging content
  • Assist the Director of Marketing and communications with updating and maintaining visual identity guidelines
  • Coordinate with external partners to support marketing efforts
  • Stay current with multimedia and digital marketing trends, recommending new tools and techniques
Requirements

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a closely related field
  • Proven experience in videography, photography, and graphic design
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant creative tools
  • Ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • A minimum of two years prior experience is preferred

  • Maintains a professional personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and is in accordance with school policy


Work Environment: The work environment at Southwest Christian School is consistent with a typical school office setting. The employee normally works indoors but may be required to be outdoors in unpredictable temperatures to attend outdoor activities or move between buildings. The noise level in the environment is usually low to moderate but may become loud occasionally. The employee is frequently required to interact with others within the school community, including parents and other community members.
