Job Summary


The Associate of Fund Administration will be responsible for the day-to-day fund accounting, reporting of cash and expenses of 1940 Act funds, UCITS sub-funds, and/or private pooled funds, and related duties.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify and log fund expense check requests, submit expense requests to custodian for payment.
  • Responsible for daily cash reporting, updating spreadsheets and reconciliations with expense information, trades, holdings, and net assets.
  • Periodic reporting of financial information and regulatory filing requirements.
  • Works closely with various departments including traders, operations, marketing as well as external auditors, custodians, and trustees to provide information as needed.
  • Reviewing accruals and income receipts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Provide market documentation updates to the custodian and/or sub-custodians as warranted.
  • Assist in the daily NAV production with monitoring prices, review for reasonableness, coordinate with portfolio managers on challenges or any other pricing expectations, and provide stakeholders with the final NAV’s and AUM as warranted.
  • Assist with tax related work tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree - required.
  • Accounting degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in accounting or back-office roles in the finance industry - required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Organization skills with tasks, assignments and documentation.
