Description
Pain management facility looking for authorizations clerk with good communication and time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Process provider orders for, procedures, injections, physical therapy, imaging etc.
- Check eligibility
- Familiar with Medi-Cal manage care plans, HMO, and PPO plans
- Ensure all documents required are on file to request prior authorization
- Process all orders in a timely matter
- Answers patient inquiries and takes messages for follow up
- Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as instructed.
- Maintains confidentiality within the workplace and within the community.
- Handles protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Adheres to the Mission and Values of PCCC
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
