Description

Pain management facility looking for authorizations clerk with good communication and time management skills.


 

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  1. Process provider orders for, procedures, injections, physical therapy, imaging etc.
  2. Check eligibility 
  3. Familiar with Medi-Cal manage care plans, HMO, and PPO plans
  4. Ensure all documents required are on file to request prior authorization 
  5. Process all orders in a timely matter
  6. Answers patient inquiries and takes messages for follow up
  7. Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as instructed. 
  8. Maintains confidentiality within the workplace and within the community. 
  9. Handles protected health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). 
  10.  Adheres to the Mission and Values of PCCC  
  11. Performs other duties as required and assigned
