Job Posting: Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse or Registered Therapist)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse or Registered Therapist) to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the Director of Clinical Services/Administrator in the supervision of home health services, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to patients in their residence. Services will be delivered in accordance with physician orders, and skilled nursing and other therapeutic services will be supervised by the Clinical Manager. The Clinical Manager is available at all times during operating hours or designates a qualified alternate.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established Agency policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development of standards for safe and therapeutically effective patient care.
- Supervise, guide, and develop nursing skills and performance.
- Consult with the Director of Clinical Services/Administrator to develop staffing plans that maximize health personnel utilization.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and termination of nursing staff. Help with disciplinary action and documentation.
- Orient new patient care personnel and assist with staff training needs.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures to comply with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary team services, patient care, and referrals.
- Foster a cooperative and professional relationship with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Investigate and report patient care or employee well-being issues.
- Participate in community education projects and continuing education.
- Monitor equipment usage and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with the Agency’s Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Ensure patient care plans are developed, implemented, and updated.
- Attend staff meetings and assist with patient care conferences.
- Manage on-call duties and ensure timely and effective patient care.
- Assume Director of Clinical Services responsibilities in their absence.
Working Environment:
- Indoors in Agency office and patient homes, with travel to/from patient locations.
Job Relationships:
- Supervised by: Director of Clinical Services/Administrator
- Workers Supervised: Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Home Health Aides, Medical Social Workers, Registered Therapists/Assistants

Lifting Requirements:
- Ability to participate in physical activity, including moderate lifting and regular bending, lifting, and standing.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing or therapy school, currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience in home health preferred.
- Acceptance of the agency’s philosophy and goals.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and lead a team to achieve common goals.
