Scope:

This role reports to the Regional Sales Director. The position executes a sales plan for the assigned territory and products to consistently meet or exceed sales budgets and goals. 


Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) are expected to: 

  • Possess and maintain a high level of product, competitive, customer and territory knowledge. 
  • Communicate with customers in the assigned territory on a regular basis and develop customer loyalty by having a maximum understanding of the customer’s needs. 
  • Prospect strategic accounts to identify and develop new customers for Visionix.

Senior Territory Sales Managers are expected to:

  • Exhibit leadership and offer guidance to other TSM’s.
  • Train new TSM’s by having them spend time in the field to observe sales encounters, SalesForce.com utility, share competitive information and sales techniques.
  • Assist underperforming TSM’s.
  • Lead TSM Advisory Board and offer regular input to upper management regarding market and competitive issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell Visionix’s core line of Refractive and Screening Diagnostic equipment for Telehealth and Classical use.
  • Communicate and Sell 20/20NOW remote telehealth services 
  • Opportunity to cross sell all lines of Visionix Business with the goal of reaching Regional Sales Targets. 
  • Manage leads and sales opportunities from first contact to contract within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for doctors and staff members.
  • Install instruments and train customer’s staff on operation as necessary.
  • Educate doctors and staff on key product benefits and features.
  • Creates a solid referral base to increase sales and customer loyalty.
  • Generates leads and document sales activity by reporting through CRM.
  • Attends all company, regional and divisional meetings. Attendance is also expected at medical education programs, which may occur during evening hours and/or weekends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. 
  • 3 +  years outside sales experience; medical industry or highly relatable field.
  • Demonstrated  ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
  • Strong sales documentation and professional references required; formal sales training a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion and to analyze and address territory opportunities by building  key customer relationships.
  • Computer Skills: proficiency in business software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Candidates must have a current valid driver’s license, collision and liability insurance for their vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Extensive travel and overnight stays are required in this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances.


Travel: 50% of travel expected.
