Accountability: Education Coordinator
Position Summary: Facilitate Responsible Fatherhood workshops to provide a dynamic learning environment for fathers in virtual and in-person settings. The curricula delivered will be skills and evidence-based and designed to help strengthen positive father-child engagement and promote, form, improve, and sustain healthy relationships and marriages.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Facilitate parenting and relationship education course curricula and adjust as indicated by group dynamic and need
· Deliver dynamic in-person and virtual workshops.
· Manage a group of up to 25 adult participants
· Ability to effectively explain new and unfamiliar concepts with confidence and passion
· Collaborate with MOU partners to co-facilitate Domestic Violence Education and Child Maltreatment Education in workshops
· Participate in enrollment appointments to build rapport with participants
· Assist in ensuring survey completion of participants in workshops
· Document and record participant information and service delivery in a timely manner as required by JFCS and funder
· Actively participate in program outreach activities to recruit and retain referral sources and participants
· Ability to work a flexible schedule as program needs require travel amongst the tri-county area comprised of Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties and evenings
Education/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or experience with facilitating groups
· Excellent presentation skills and the ability to lead dynamic group workshops
· Understanding of cultural diversity including the culture of poverty and hard to reach or resistant individuals and families
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and demonstrate competent computer skills

Typical Physical Demands:
This position requires the individual to perform a broad range of activities. This position requires full range of motion, including manual and finger dexterity and hand and eye coordination. This position requires corrected vision, speech, and hearing to normal range, or special accommodations made of sufficient nature for completion of assigned tasks. This position requires seated work at desk, including use of a computer and technology. This position requires the ability to lift 30 pounds. This position requires the ability to drive and have regular access to a reliable automobile for travel to remote offices. This position requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Training: All required JFCS training per COA, DCF, and any additional training as needed within the required timeframes
Classification: Non-Exempt
