Description

   

Busy warehouse seeks associate to cross-train in all aspects of distribution; primary duties include adding received items to inventory physically and electronically.   Computerized inventory system requires proficient computer skills, forklift/walkie experience a plus. 


Responsible for performing basic duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise by performing the following tasks:

  

  • Selects items to fulfill orders according to pick sheet.
  • Move product and inventory using a forklift, WAV or Walkie-Stacker, or by placing it on a cart to be pushed to the packing station.   
  • Inspects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Execute and document quality inspections per SOP
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
  • Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer.  
  • Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and reports discrepancies or adjusts errors.    
  • Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.      
  • Participates in required on the job training programs. 
  • Adheres to the appropriate work instructions in the completion of assigned duties. 

Performs other related duties as assigned

Computerized environment  - ability to communicate in English - experience with inventory software preferred

Salary Description
$15-$18/hour
