POSITION SUMMARY 

Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, Associate policies, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Oversee the administration of compensation, benefits and performance management systems and Associate activities. 
  • Facilitate Personnel Action Committee (PAC) meetings and reports.
  • Identify staff vacancies and oversee the recruitment and selection process of qualified candidates including appropriate testing and objective evaluation methods. 
  • Provide current and prospective Associates with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and Associate benefits. 
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, administering disciplinary procedures, and discharging Associates. 
  • Advise and train management on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.      
  • Analyze and establish/modify compensation and benefits policies to assure competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements. 
  • Oversee implementation of new Associate orientation to foster positive attitude toward YUSA and company objectives. 
  • Assure a strong link is maintained between management and Associates for handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures, and helping resolve work-related problems. 
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of Admin. Staff relating to employment, compensation, and Associate relations. 
  • Analyze Associate and management training needs to design and oversee the implementation of appropriate training programs to assure Associate and leadership development including legal compliance. 
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates. 
  •  Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement YUSA's policies and practices. 
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. 
  • Prepare and follow budgets for Administration Dept. operations. 
  • Establish classification and evaluation systems for all hourly and salary position and oversee the evaluation process. 
  • Study legislation and employment law revisions to assure compliance. 
Requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES 


Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university)’ Masters preferred.
Experience: Ten years or more related experience within Human Resources generalist duties.


Computer Skills 

All Microsoft Office Professional software 


Certificates & Licenses 

Prefer SHRM Certification
